San Francisco is a city of anything GAY. Most any bar you find will be acceptable or safe for almost anyone as hippies feel live and let live whatever floats your boat is totally awesome man.

Bar on Castro = Deep house music, Soul, trendy and to small for the packed weekend crowd

Badlands = video bar with dancing (top 40)

Cafe = house (top 40) and Hip Hop

Lime = A starter bar (people have been known to wear the best fashion) Trendy Euro style bar with white decor low lights appetizers and mojitos, Sundays the place to be for brunch and mimosas.

 

EXTREME AFTERHOURS

 

One of my personal favorite clubs that does extreme after hours sometimes till noon the next day is The End Up. They have a huge patio for cooling off, smoking, or checking out the sites. The music tend to be more soul house, some disco and the occasional mash up or diva vocal. There all gay night which has a mixed crowd is Fag Fridays other nights everyone is welcome and it is one of the only spots open almost 24-7. (on harrison)

Karaoke

 

-one of my favorite spots that is very grunge dive bar is Tango Tango on California it is owned by gay owners but the straights love this place,

 

-Another Fun but way to crowded Karaoke place (get there early to sing) This has a mixed crowd and the sound guy will sing and dance occasionally to annoy everyone. (on market near castro)

 

Lounge

 

I love this club it is like a Japanese tea garden next to a pool very trendy yet so much fun to checkout. Bam buddha Lounge.

Some of the best Sangria. FLY a dive bar that serves food and has a pool table (on divisidero)

Sometimes you want to be a punk or have some rock out of a jukebox that blares with lots of selections of beer and a grungy dive bar feel pinball and pool. (on market)

 

Biker Bar

 

Got to love Zeitgeist biker bar for there alternative feel and they know how to barb bbq and do grudge right with there famous bars (on Valencia)

 

Trailer Trash Bar

 

This place is awesome you can have tatter tots served from a old trailer and a drink made of grape soda with other trashy elements. (11th st. near folsom)
